Through the NGO “L’HOMME ET L’ENVIRONNEMENT”, Olivier BEHRA – who lived in Madagascar for about twenty years – revealed this new essential oil of Saro in France in March 2003. Since then, this oil has seen exceptional success.

A biologist at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, through his commitment he became the youngest project manager of the United Nations by the end of the 1980s. Wanting more flexibility in innovation, Olivier created an NGO L’Homme et l’Environnement in Madagascar. Which works to develop the exceptional natural resources of Madagascar, including the Mandravasarotra, for the benefit of the poorest populations.

Understanding the essential oil and its potentials has sparked interest and has seen the scientific contribution of several researchers. In Madagascar, it is in particular Dr. Pascal DANTHU and Samira SARTER of CIRAD and their collaborators, in the persons of Dr. Hanitra ANDRIANOELISOA and Roger RANDRAIANARIVELO, who have agreed to follow Olivier BEHRA in the extensive research work on this essential oil . It should be noted that none of the scientists who were involved in this work have any interest in commercializing the product.
